MARBELLA OBTAINS THE TOURIST SECURITY SEAL GRANTED BY THE WORLD TRAVEL TOURISM COUNCIL 'SAFE TRAVEL STAMP'

MARBELLA OBTAINS THE TOURIST SECURITY SEAL GRANTED BY THE WORLD TRAVEL TOURISM COUNCIL 'SAFE TRAVEL STAMP'

Marbella obtains the tourism safety seal granted by the World Travel Tourism Council and already holds the only two certifications that exist in this field worldwide. Marbella has obtained the world tourist safety seal (‘Safe Travel Stamp’), awarded by the World Travel Tourism Council (‘WTTC). The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, stressed that this certificate, which supports 'the effectiveness in the application of measures to combat the pandemic', makes the city 'one of the international destinations with the most guarantees for visitors.' 'Transmitting confidence to tourists is essential in order to accelerate the recovery of the sector,' said the councillor, who explained that to obtain this distinction, backed by more than 200 managers of the main tourist groups in the world, 'it has been necessary accredit that hygiene and global health protocols that follow guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), among other organizations, are being complied with ”. Marbella now holds the only two safety certifications that exist worldwide, after becoming last August the first major Spanish city to achieve the 'Safe Tourism Certified' seal, awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE). 'Our priority has been since the beginning of the pandemic to position ourselves as a destination with guarantees against Covid-19', remarked the first mayor, who has also valued 'the collaboration and commitment of businessmen, especially affected by this serious health and economic crisis, to guarantee the tranquillity of the travelers ' SOURCE:  https://www.marbella.es/actualidad/item/40256-marbella-obtiene-el-sello-de-seguridad-turistica-que-otorga-el-world-travel-tourism-council-y-ostenta-ya-las-dos-unicas-certificaciones-que-existen-en-este-ambito-a-nivel-mundial.html CHECK OUT OUR HOLIDAY RENTALS

COVID 19 MEASURES ANNOUNCED BY THE JUNTA DE ANDALUCIA FOR EASTER

COVID 19 MEASURES ANNOUNCED BY THE JUNTA DE ANDALUCIA FOR EASTER

The closure between provinces is maintained until after Easter due to the upward trend in infections. Moreno assures that the Andalusian Government is focused and pending the pandemic 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without other distractions. The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, announced this Wednesday the new measures to contain the pandemic, after meeting with the Advisory Council on High Impact Public Health Alerts (Committee of Experts), which took place this afternoon in the Palacio de San Telmo and where the Minister of Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre, has also participated. The new regulations, which will come into effect on Friday, March 19 and will be in effect until April 9, are as follows: * The curfew is delayed for an hour, which will start at 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. * The opening hours of shops, restaurants and bars and other services are extended and unified until 10:30 p.m., except in municipalities with more than a thousand cases per 100,000 inhabitants. * Meetings are still limited to 6 people, except inside bars, cafes, and restaurants, where the maximum per table is still 4 people. * During his speech, Moreno has assured that, following the advice of the Committee of Experts, the closure of the eight Andalusian provinces will continue until after Easter. 'We believe that it is a prudent, sensible and opportune decision. The only objective is to avoid a fourth wave as aggressive as the one we suffered after Christmas,' he declared. However, he has considered that with the new measures the Andalusians will have more room for movement within the respective provinces. 'These are changes that we adopt with the desire and interest to give a break to business, but also to citizens, who need it,' he added. The Andalusian president has explained that, based on the data and the advice of experts, opening mobility between provinces could pose a new risk situation for the health of Andalusians. And it is that Andalusia remains at a medium-high risk level with an incidence today of 123 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. source: http://www.juntadeandalucia.es/presidencia/portavoz/gobiernoaldia/159043/Covid19/coronavirus/pandemia/Salud/Empleo/Economia/JuanmaMoreno/presidente/JuntadeAndalucia

NEARLY A YEAR SINCE SPAIN ORDERS NATIONWIDE LOCKDOWN TO BATTLE CORONAVIRUS

NEARLY A YEAR SINCE SPAIN ORDERS NATIONWIDE LOCKDOWN TO BATTLE CORONAVIRUS

Spain orders nationwide lockdown to battle Coronavirus, SATURDAY, 14TH OF MARCH 2020 Government instructs people to stay at home for two weeks, and closes bars, shops, schools, restaurants, cafes and cinemas. The Spanish government has formally declared a state of emergency over the coronavirus, placing the country in lockdown and ordering people to stay at home for the next two weeks unless they have to buy food or medicine or go to essential work or hospital. Speaking after a seven-hour cabinet meeting on Saturday evening, the prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, said “extraordinary decisions” needed to be taken as Spain grappled with a “health, social and economic crisis”. Spain is the country most affected by the coronavirus in Europe after Italy, and has so far confirmed 6,251 cases and 193 deaths. Italy has already taken similar measures. It has been nearly a year since Spain orders nationwide lockdown to battle Coronavirus. For many people, they're approaching “the anniversary” of when they realized that life as they knew it was being fundamentally altered from how it had been a month, a week or even a day earlier. The work-from-home era began. Bare grocery store shelves, empty subway cars, the absence of rush-hour traffic all seemed like post-apocalyptic scenes. Things that people often took for granted — like hugs, seeing friends at birthday parties, dinners out together and midday coffee runs with colleagues — were no longer considered safe and harmless as they had been before. Professional sports leagues cancelled or postponed entire seasons, and celebrities like Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson announced they had tested positive for the coronavirus. Around the world, there was still so much unknown about the coronavirus and so much uncertainty about how life would look in two weeks — let alone one year later. And  ONE YEAR LATER?! AS HUMAN BEINGS, WE ARE GETTING USED TO EVERYTHING AND SUDDENLY WE ARE SURE THEY´RE THE “NORM”. We forget our own discomfort in order to be in peace. At some point, we start feeling comfortable in this “ series of events” that were once “unique” to us. THERE IS ALWAYS A  LIGHT AT  THE END OF TUNNEL !  14 MARCH 2021 Check out our Blog about “More optimistic economic horizon in the short and medium term for Spain “… https://immomoment.es/en/news/ocde-predicts-stronger-recovery-in-spain-this-year-and-next-covid/ One of the reasons for the upward revision of the Spanish forecasts is that 'there have been fewer mobility restrictions and (Spain) has dealt better with the health situation' in recent times STAY  SAFE - KEEP HEALTHY AND STAY POSITIVE!
