LUXURY PROPERTY IN MARBELLA SELLS SMOOTHLY
12th March 2025The market for luxury homes in Spain is experiencing an exceptional moment. In Marbella, Mallorca, Madrid and Barcelona, sales of multimillion-euro villas and flats are booming.
The UNO project in Marbella, for example, with prices of up to 10 million euros, has sold all its properties even before it was built. The same goes for projects such as Dolce&Gabbana's, half of whose properties have already been sold even though construction has not yet started.
This increase in sales is spreading to other areas such as Madrid, the Balearics and Catalonia. Despite the crisis in access to housing, the luxury market is not affected and prices continue to rise. In 2024, sales of prime homes exceeded 2.5 million euros, with Malaga and Mallorca dominating the market.
Buyers are increasingly younger, with a profile of entrepreneurs and technology executives. Most pay cash, with the main buyers from the UK, the Netherlands, Poland and Arab countries, as well as growing interest from the US.
The market continues to grow in Marbella, especially in more expensive neighbourhoods such as La Zagaleta, where prices for townhouses are astronomical. In Madrid, demand is also increasing, consolidating the city as a competitive destination for the exclusive market, complementing coastal areas such as Marbella and Barcelona, which remain highly attractive due to their quality of life, gastronomy and the quality of life of their resident
